- Shocking Sequence
- The AED will charge
- Clear the area (say "Stand clear everybody, nobody
touch the victim. Stand clear everybody, shocking now")
- Press the Shock button (first shock will be administered
and victim may jerk)
- Resume CPR beginning with chest compressions immediately
after attempted defibrillation
- Do not interrupt chest compressions until after 2 minutes
of CPR
 back
 If
at any time "Shock is not advised" check pulse. If
no pulse perform CPR for 1 minute then press analyze again. |
